Thoyantir
An excellent telepath, he has long been the main translator for The Lodestone Bridge. In his own world, he is what he calls a Mind Surgeon, who heals through telepathy. Resonating with the injured person, he uses the energies of an injury itself to shift it into health again with his mental focus. He is a member of the Galactic Federation. “Experienced, kind, curious.”
What he offers to the human members of The Lodestone Bridge: “Stabilizing human emotions.”
Mir Tarr
Mir Tarr is a Mind Architect, recently appointed one of the heads of the Sirian Council. He functions as the representative to Sirius for The Lodestone Bridge as well. From an extra-dimensional perspective, he can perceive the architecture of thoughts, seeing ruts, cul-de-sacs, blind staircases (emotional ups and downs retained in memory), and narrow corridors; he works with others always with permission. “Engaged, engaging, and honorable.”
What he offers to the human members of The Lodestone Bridge: “Guidance to entry into the Sirian and Federation Councils.”
Ka Cha Sei Ka
Ka Cha Sei Ka works as a Perceptive Pattern Emplacer. The closest Earth equivalent might be described as a psychic mentor. Her people, the Vauntu nri race, are very human in their attitudes, despite their appearance. When she first met the other members of The Lodestone Briege, she was in college, and human beings were her graduate study. She works as a representative of her home star, offering its energy and their experiences to human beings. “Intelligent, playful, passionate and enthusiastic.”
What she offers the human members of The Lodestone Bridge: “Coaching and encouragement.“
D’yet and D’Barni
Brothers, D’yet (on he left) and D’Barni (on the right) are interested in the range and depth of human experiences. D’yet is a quite accomplished empathic poet, who creates symphonies with images and emotions. D’Barni, an empath, is now an ambassador with the Galactic Federation, working from Spica. He spent many years promoting D’yet’s well-received poetry tours. They both live on Spica now, working with the Rangers there, though they originally came from a desert planet quite some distance away. ”Willing to learn, to grow, to discover, and distill the experiences.”
What D’Yet offers the human members of The Lodestone Bridge: “Creativity and New Ideas”.
What Ambassador D’Barni offers the human members of The Lodestone Bridge: “Self-confidence and harmonizing human interactions.”
Sssssss Ssit
She is a mobile, semi-crystalline being from a shrouded planet: a large Venus-like world in a Mars-like orbit. She calls herself an “inspirational empath,” working in the stillness following deep emotions. She feels that, “Life is a tide, running through different forms,” so can understand and nurture those minds that come to her. “Quiet, effective, skillful.”
What she offers the human members of The Lodestone Bridge: “Healing, centeredness and self-healing.”
Sey Seyarayk
Working in Galactic Center with many different types of energy, she is a huge being that would seem amazingly diffuse to us. Were Sey Seyarak as physical as we are, the underside of her wings would feel like moleskin, and the “feathers” like brittle plastic. But her form is so diffuse that on Earth, she might feel like a strong gust of air. Long used to differences in communication styles, she acts as an energy transformer and active assistant to others in the Bridge. She lives in an extremely light-potent environment, using her “feathers” of flexible, fingernail-like plates to catch photons for added lift and speed in “flight” through the relative vacuum of the space between stars. “Patient, tolerant, creative and playful.”
What she offers the human members of The Lodestone Bridge: “New perceptions of Reality and personal reality.”
Toh Ka Schei
Her eyes perceive many “colors” of infrared; her ears are attuned to sonar. She is a Telepathic Communicator, and works in the Imaginal Realms. She sees others clearly, and helps them expand into an enhanced sense of self. She often works with Shambeytas, the current head of the Rangers on Spica, as an assistant; they are of the same race. “Energetic, positive, determined, and persistent.”
What she offers the human members of The Lodestone Bridge: “Mental organization and focus; gaiety and joy.”
Shambeytas
Head of the Rangers for nearly 100 years and now in semi-retirement, Shambeytas works closely with the President of the Galactic Federation. As she already works with many different beings, she feels she is up to the challenge of human minds and emotions. Brought to Spica when young at her parents’ request, she began as a translator, soon expanding her role to include managing the Rangers, the police arm of the Galactic Federation. She is indeed missing her right leg: she was not rescued in time from an accident in space to save it, and uses a float-chair to move around. “Practical, insightful, and dedicated.”
What she offers the human members of The Lodestone Bridge: “Personal ethics and integrity.”

A being of great self-confidence, he is a Ranger, working under Shambeytas, the head of the Rangers on Spica, for the Galactic Federation. Now a teacher and trainer for new Rangers on Spica, with his wife Vexrra and two children at home, he still acts as a protector in many situations. Dedicated to “keeping the guy with the machine gun out of the sandboxes of the galaxy,” he often intimidates dangerous beings by the sheer force of his personality.
What he offers the human members of The Lodestone Bridge: “Love and courage.”
